Premium reduction after leaving a job
Overview
People who left their job for an unavoidable reason, such as company bankruptcy, dismissal or a contract not renewed, and who were under 65 on the day they left, can get a lower premium. For the premium calculation, their salary income is treated as 30 percent of the usual amount. This is not automatic: the person must notify the ward office. The page also links to the pages on premium reductions and exemptions.
