Leaving national health insurance
Overview
How to leave Itabashi's national health insurance when your situation changes, for example after joining a workplace health insurance, moving to another city, or starting public assistance. A death in the household is handled automatically through the death registration. Notify within 14 days of the change. A late notice is still accepted, but premiums can no longer be reduced after two years, and if you use the ward's insurance after leaving, the medical costs it paid must be repaid.
