Change of mailing address for adult guardians
Overview
Adult guardians, supporters and assistants can ask the ward to send National Health Insurance documents to them instead of to the person they look after. The same change can be made for nursing care insurance and late-stage elderly medical insurance documents. Documents then go to the guardian's address until the change is cancelled, and the person responsible for paying premiums does not change. If the person lives in a care facility or hospital, get the facility's consent first. Changing or cancelling the address takes one to two weeks, so allow time before the next mailing.
