Why the bill is addressed to the household head
Overview
The national health insurance bill is addressed to the household head, even when the head is not insured. Under article 76 of the National Health Insurance Act, the head is the person who must pay, so all notices go to the head registered in the household. The bill shows the head's name, but the premium is calculated only from the income of insured members. The page links to pages on premium notices and on how the premium is calculated.
