Premium reductions and exemptions for National Health Insurance

Overview

Low-income households get a reduction of 70, 50 or 20 percent of the per-person premium, applied automatically once incomes are known. Children under six and children under 18 get reductions too, applied automatically. People who lost a job for company reasons, and households with a childbirth, must file an application. Income declarations must be filed on time, because premiums can no longer be changed after two years.
