Premium billed in months covered by workplace insurance

Overview

The national health insurance premium for a year is paid in ten instalments, from June to March, so the payment months differ from the months you are covered. Each instalment is 1.2 months of premium. For example, if you join workplace insurance in September, your national health insurance covers April to August, five months. June to August cost 3.6 months of premium, so you still owe 1.2 months in September and 0.2 months in October.
