Late health insurance joining or leaving notice
Overview
The 14-day deadline for joining or leaving National Health Insurance runs from the date of the change. A late filing can still be made, but the delay costs money. If you join late, premiums are due back to the date you should have joined, and medical costs before that are fully yours unless the delay had an unavoidable reason. If you leave late, premiums can no longer be reduced after two years. If you used the plan without being eligible, you must repay the medical costs it paid.
