How National Health Insurance premiums are calculated
Overview
How the National Health Insurance premium is calculated. It has four parts: medical, support for the health insurance system, long-term care for members aged 40 to 64, and child support. Each part has a per-person amount and an income-based amount, with a cap per household. Income is last year's, and premiums are paid in ten instalments. Preschool children get half of the flat amounts for the medical and support parts.
