Ways to pay National Health Insurance premiums
Overview
Ways to pay National Health Insurance premiums: direct debit is the standard method. Payment slips can be paid at banks, convenience stores or ward offices. Slips can also be paid by phone or mobile by scanning the barcode, and pension deduction applies to some households. Slips over 300,000 yen cannot be paid at convenience stores. Missed payments lead to reminders and late charges. Ask the collection section early if you cannot pay.
