Integration of the My Number card and the health insurance card

Overview

Explains how the health insurance card has been merged into the My Number card. Since then, no National Health Insurance card is issued, even as a replacement. Members who registered their My Number card for health insurance receive an insurance information notice when their qualification is confirmed, and use the card at hospitals with card readers; the notice is a backup for hospitals without readers. Other members receive a certificate of eligibility, issued without any application. The page links the national leaflet and the government notice.
