How the national health insurance premium is calculated
Overview
In Itabashi, the national health insurance premium is calculated from your income of the previous year. It adds a flat amount per insured person to an amount based on income. It also includes parts for medical costs, support for the late-elderly system, care (for people aged 40 to 64 only) and child support. Rates are reviewed each year, and the new rates are set in late March. The page explains the method, and an external link on the trial calculation page gives a rough estimate.
