Higher premium after moving to Itabashi

Overview

After a move to Itabashi, the premium can be higher than in your previous city, for two reasons. Premiums differ between cities, because each city sets them from its own insured population. Also, the reduction of the flat amount depends on last year's income, which Itabashi asks your previous city for after you join. Until the answer comes, your premium shows only the flat amount, without the reduction. Then Itabashi recalculates and sends a new notice if the premium changes. If you have not filed your income declaration in your previous city, file it promptly.
