Cancelling National Health Insurance after joining workplace insurance
Overview
If you join workplace social insurance, your National Health Insurance does not end automatically, so you must file a cancellation yourself. You can file online through My Number Portal with an image of the document that shows your new insurance start date, by mail, or at the counter. The page lists the documents for each route. Registered or tracked mail is recommended, because the envelope holds personal information.
