Overview

The hazard map shows, on a map, the six designated sediment-risk zones in Suginami and the evacuation shelters near them. The zones are grouped in four areas: Kugayama, Takaido, Horinouchi and Izumi. It helps residents prepare for sediment disasters, and to agree with their family on the evacuation route to a shelter before a disaster or when one is expected. The map is available as a PDF in two versions, an information version and a map version. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government also publishes a zone map. There is no tsunami disaster warning zone in Suginami.
