My wardsRegistering crime-prevention volunteer groups and support
Overview
Ward support for volunteer crime-prevention patrols run by residents. A group of at least five people who live, work or study in Suginami can register with the ward and receive crime-prevention gear, such as jackets, caps, bicycle plates and bandanas, if it patrols at least three days a month or 36 days a year, on a non-profit basis. Groups should also notify the local police station and take out volunteer insurance. Registration is optional, but registered groups are the ones the ward supports with equipment. Equipment applications close on the 15th of each month, first come, first served.
