My wardsCommunity mutual-help network (Chiiki no te)
Overview
A ward scheme that helps people who would find it hard to evacuate alone in a disaster: people certified for long-term care at levels 1 to 5, people with a physical disability certificate, an intellectual disability certificate or a mental health certificate, people with designated intractable diseases who have no certificate, and anyone who asks for evacuation help. Registered details are kept in a register shared before any disaster with local welfare commissioners, shelter operators, police, fire stations and fire corps, so that people can be checked on afterwards.
