Overview
How to request disclosure of a former foreign registration record. Since the foreign registration system ended, the Immigration Services Agency handles these requests, not the ward office. Only the person, a legal representative or an authorised representative can ask for disclosure. Download the request form from the agency's website and submit it to its information disclosure section. A decision takes about 30 days. Records held by the agency are not updated.
