Used cooking oil collection and recycling agreement
Overview
The ward signed an agreement on 19 June 2026 with three partners to collect and recycle used cooking oil from homes in Itabashi. From 1 July 2026 the four parties work together to raise collection, share figures with residents, and turn the oil into new resources. Used oil goes in a PET bottle, cooled and with food bits removed, to a collection point. Animal fats, mineral oils, oil that sets at room temperature and oil from shops or companies cannot be collected.
