Lithium batteries, spray cans and lighters: how to dispose
Overview
Ward guide on disposing of small rechargeable batteries (nickel-cadmium, nickel and lithium-ion), spray cans and gas lighters. These items have caused fires in garbage trucks, so they must not go in burnable garbage or plastic resources. Spray cans and lighters must be fully used up and put out in a separate bag on non-burnable garbage day. Never pierce a spray can or gas cylinder.
